The Handsome Beasts were an English heavy metal band formed in 1981 in Birmingham. The band consisted of Gary Moberley on vocals, Phil St. Giles on guitar, Marc Matthews on bass guitar, and Mike Darby on drums. They released their debut album, ‘Beastiality', in 1982, which gained them a significant following in the UK metal scene.
Their style was a mixture of heavy metal and punk rock, with lyrical themes often dealing with anti-establishment and rebellion. The band was known for their energetic live performances, with Moberley often dressing up in various animal costumes and masks.
